Ride-share company Lyft is offering free transportation to cooling centers in a number of cities through Sunday during a weekend heat wave when temperatures may hit 100 degrees or more combined with high humidity

In New Jersey,  anyone wishing to access the free rides can use code NJCOOL19. Codes are valid for two rides, up to $15 each, from now until Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

The company is providing transport to a number of designated cooling centers, including: 

County Administration Building: 1 Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack

The H.E.L.P. Center: 224 Sussex Ave., Newark

St. Lucy's Shelter: 619 Grove St., Jersey City

Paterson Free Public Library: 250 Broadway, Paterson

Peterstown Community Center: 418 Palmer St, Elizabeth
